Five-Year Anniversary Period Begins

Exactly five years ago today I parked the URL for this blog. One could say that it was born then, but I like to think of that as conception. Five weeks passed--gestation--before, on February 26, I posted the first actual post. So let's call 2/26 the actual date. There will be little in the way of celebration--Angelo and Ezra's blogoversary events scare hermits like me--but I do have one thing in the works. In any case, it was five years ago today that I had the idea of Beervana. All in all, I think it was a pretty good one.

There's a difference between Blogging the news and creating articles related to the beer community vs. being a Blogger who writes articles about events that are self created and promoted. Should a beer blog be about reporting beer info or creating beer info? ;-}

Keep doing what you do! Like your new, more HONEST approach to your beer articles.

Dr Wort is beginning to look like a pussy cat compared to your honest beer reporting, and the juvenile whining and psychotic insecurities of the New School.

Congratulations on five years of great work Jeff!

Congrats, Jeff. Keep up the good work. As an old dinosaur who did all of my beer writing in the ink-on-paper days, I appreciate your journalist's approach to this thing called "blogging."

Thank you all. And to the Nut: we all stand on the shoulders of those who came before.

5 years. That's amazing. Your style and perspective are unique and I've enjoyed reading your blog for the few short months I've been in this game. Look forward to the next five. Cheers!
